Exosomes are involved in the development of diseases. Exosomes promote the development of neuropsychiatric diseases by spreading toxic proteins, triggering inflammatory responses and oxidative stress, affecting synaptic function and damaging cell metabolism. An in-depth understanding of the mechanism of action of exosomes in neuropsychiatric disorders will help to develop new therapeutic strategies and drug targets, and provide patients with more effective treatment options
