Fig. 7

Inhibition of EGFR promotes migration of neuroblast to the injured area. Mice were mechanically injured in the primary motor cortex and were injected in the lateral ventricle (LV) with a lentivirus that expresses ZsGreen. Mice were treated for 14 days with the EGFR inhibitor Afatinib (1 μM) or vehicle. A Representative confocal images of the injured cortex of adult mice treated with vehicle showing ZsGreen fluorescence (upper image) and the immunodetection of DCX (lower image). B Representative confocal images the injured cortex of adult mice treated with Afatinib showing ZsGreen fluorescence (upper left) and the immunodetection of DCX (lower left). Magnification of the cells indicated with the yellow arrows shows ZsGreen and DCX expression (upper right images). Magnification of the cells indicated with the yellow arrows show ZsGreen, DCX and DAPI expression/signal (lower right images). The dotted line indicates the limit of the lesion (L) and the limits of the lateral ventricles (LV). Scale bar represents 100 μm and 10 μm
