Knockdown of HDAC4 or IRAK1 promotes radiosensitivity of EC cells in vivo. Nude mice were subcutaneously injected with radioresistant KYSE30 (KYSE30R) cells with shRNA (sh-) against HDAC4 or IRAK1. These mice were unirradiated or received local X-ray irradiation at a dose of 8 Gy. A Tumor volume in nude mice. B Tumor weight in nude mice. C HDAC4 protein level in tumor tissues was measured by using Western blot analysis, normalized to GAPDH. D IRAK1 protein level in tumor tissues was measured by using Western blot analysis, normalized to GAPDH. Values obtained from three independent experiments in triplicate were expressed as mean ± standard deviation. Values among three or more groups were compared by one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey's post hoc test, and results at different time points were compared by two-way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni’s post hoc test. * p < 0.05.
