Losartan reduces whereas apocynin does not affect MuRF1 expression in tail-suspended mouse hearts. Tail-suspended mice were given losartan, apocynin or vehicle in drinking water for 28 days. Western blot analysis was performed to determine the protein levels of MuRF1 in heart tissue lysates (a, b). Upper panels are the representative western blots for MuRF1 protein expression from 2 out of 4–6 different hearts and lower panels are the quantification of MuRF1 protein relative to GAPDH. Data are mean ± SD, n = 4–6 in each group. *P < 0.05 vs. Sham + Vehicle and †P < 0.05 vs. TS + Vehicle
