METTL3 plays opposite roles in gliomas because of different target genes and RNA-binding proteins. A METTL3 acts as an oncogene and is upregulated in gliomas. MALAT1, UBXN1, SOX2, and SRSF are all important targets of METTL3. B METTL3 also acts as a tumor suppressor and is downregulated in gliomas. CircDLC 1 is one of many important targets of METTL3.
