PTP1B deficient Kuppfer cells exhibit increased lipoprotein uptake through upregulation of lipoprotein receptors. A PTP1B deficient Kupffer cells exhibit increased uptake of LDL-C and VLDL-C. This correlates with increased gene expression levels of LDL-R, VLDL-R and LOX1 (B–D). CD36 expression remained unaffected (E).
