The nonlinear association of the number of years spent in a specific CVH with the risk of developing outcomes on follow-up. The restricted cubic splines model was used to flexibly model potential nonlinear association between the numbers of years spent in a specific CVH (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8) as a continuous variable and outcomes.
