Hematoxylin/eosin (HE, A-C) and Alizarin red (D-F) stains of radial arteries of malnutritional hemodialysis patients. HE stain (A-C) showed that the thickness of medial layer was increased along with the calcified degree. And the Alizarin red stain (D-F) demonstrated that the calcified depositions were mainly located in the medial layer of the radial arteries.
