RSV treatment induces a decrease of cell division in respect to untreated control cells. Significance: * p ≤ 0.05. B) C2C12 viability assay shows the absence of cell mortality in all treatment conditions. C) Phase contrast images, collected at day 3 of proliferation curve, illustrate the morphological changes observed in RSV-treated cells. The cells lose their characteristic circular shape to achieve a new elongate morphology in respect to control cells (GM). Interesting to note the analogy in cell morphology between 25 μM RSV and differentiation control (DM). Scale bar 200 μm.
