LRP1, VLDLR and LDLR mRNA expression in control and ICM hearts. Frozen myocardial tissue (5 mg) was homogenized in Tripure reagent and RNA isolated as explained in Methods. LRP1 (A), LDL receptor (B) and VLDLR (C) mRNA expression levels were analyzed by real time PCR. Data were processed with a specially designed software program based on Ct values of each sample and normalized to 18srRNA as endogenous control. *P  < 0.05 versus CNT.
