A schematic model showing the mechanism by which NCAPG promotes the proliferation of HCC cells. NCAPG can promote the phosphorylation of PTEN through interaction with CKII, because the interaction between the NCAPG and CKII proteins has been proven. This phenomenon can inhibit the transcription and functions of PTEN and activate the PI3-AKT signalling pathway, ultimately leading to the promotion of HCC proliferation
