Comparison of incidence rates of malignancies during the study with those of the German population in 2019 (using a Chi²-test). Based on the incidence rate of the different diseases for the German population according to the German cancer registry the expected number for our cohort is calculated over the cumulative observation time corrected for the time of discontinuation, if applicable, and assuming largely age-independent, linear distribution of cancer occurrence [27]
