Genes in cluster A was confirmed to be related to the pathogenesis of ARDS in both ARDS animal models and in vitro experiments. Genes in cluster B was confirmed to be related to the pathogenesis of inflammation or immunity, endothelial function, epithelial function, and coagulation function in in vitro experiments. Genes in cluster C might be related to the above mechanism because these genes are related to immune regulation, angiogenesis and the cell cycle
