3′,5′-cyclic GMP/CMP/UMP inhibit IL-2 production in PBMC. IL-2 concentrations were measured with ELISA in supernatants of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) that had been stimulated with ImmunoCult™ human CD3/CD28 T cell activator in presence or absence of 10 µM cNMP and that had been incubated for 48 h at 37 °C/5% (v/v) CO₂. Unstimulated PBMC served as control. Shown are the means ± SD of n = 3 individual experiments. Differences with p < 0.05 (one-way ANOVA with Dunnett’s post hoc correction) were considered statistically significant (*)
