Hypercholesterolemia in renal transplanted patient is associated with an early down regulation of plasmatic VEGF-A. Patients were classified in two groups in relation to their plasma cholesterol levels the day before renal transplantation (a; n = 7–9). OxLDL levels were measured in the short term follow up of patients (2 weeks after transplantation) in plasma (b; n = 3–9) as well as VEGF-A (c; n = 3–8). Values significantly different from the hypocholesterolemic group are represented by *p < 0.05
