  1. Gene set enrichment analysis was performed on the 95 significantly differentially expressed genes (q < 0.05) in peripheral blood samples obtained from patients with intracranial aneurysms (IA). Significantly enriched ontologies with a false discovery rate (FDR) adjusted p-value (q-value) < 0.20 were considered (FDR of 20%). Transcripts with higher expression in IA demonstrated regulation of inflammatory and defense responses, signaling, and cell motility.
