Schematic of the pig study procedures. Pigs subject to repeated stimulation trials in a single experiment required repeated neuronavigation positioning of the stimulation coils and facial nerve stimulation after measurement of the cerebral blood flow response to an initial stimulation. All pigs were subject to multiple experiments separated by a 7-day recovery period at the animal housing facility
