Activation of Nrf-HO-1 in Jurkat and murine CD4+ T cells upon exposure to A77 1726. The Nrf2 and HO-1 activity induced in Jurkat cells (a, b) and mouse T cells (c, d) in A77 1726-treated cells compared with vehicle (DMSO)-treated cells was determined by immunofluorescence microscopy. The cells were cultured for 48 h in the presence or absence of A77 1726 at concentrations ranging from 10 to 100 μM. e Splenic CD4+ T cells from C57BL/6 mice were cultured under Th17 cells-polarizing conditions in the presence or absence of A77 1726. Three days later, the cells were stained with antibodies against CD4 and IL-17 cells. A plot from 1 representative experiment shows the frequencies of IL-17+ cells among CD4+ T cells (left).
