IRβ/IRS1/p85 signaling pathway in L6 myotubes. Cells were stimulated with either 100 nmol/l EXE, 100 nmol/l INS and both. The cells were then lysed and equal amounts of total proteins were immunoprecipitated with anti-IRS-1 antibody and immunoblotted with antiphosphotyrosine antibody (a, b) and anti-p85 subunit of PI 3-kinase (c). To normalize for protein levels the blots were stripped and re-probed with anti-IRS-1 antibody (A and C, top panel). Data are shown as mean ± SD of three independent experiments.
