Comb1 and UN3 induce SDF1α and CXCR4 mRNA expression. Sample cDNAs (equivalent of 5 ng mRNA) reverse transcribed from granulation tissue (a), hypodermis (b), and portions of adjacent dermis and epidermis (c) were used as template, and each sample was normalized using β-actin (granulation tissue) or RPL32 (hypodermis, adjacent dermal and epidermal tissues) as a reference gene. All expression levels were calculated using the 2−∆∆Ct method of relative quantitation. All data are expressed as relative abundance over saline-treated controls, ±SEM. *p ≤ 0.05, **p ≤ 0.01.
