Aldefluor flow cytometry-based assay to identify cells with high ALDH1 activity in the rabbit VX2 liver cancer model. The top panels show the histograms of Aldefluor fluorescence with (left) and without (right) the addition of DEAB, an ALDH activity inhibitor. The gate demonstrates shifting of cells with high ALDH activity (right). The other two gates show the light scatter pattern and the viable cells based on PI exclusion.
