The effect of esomeprazole on soluble collagen production. Lung Fibroblasts were isolated from patients diagnosed with IPF according to International Standards. Cells were treated with vehicle, PPI (20 to 100 µM esomeprazole) or TGF-β1 inhibitor (A83-01) for 24 h. Acid soluble collagen was measured using Sircol assay.
