Expression of cancer-associated fibroblast related proteins according to the stromal phenotype. Desmoplastic stroma exhibited high expression of stromal podoplanin, S100A4, PDGFRα, and PDGFRβ, while inflammatory stroma exhibited high stromal FAPα expression. Sclerotic stroma exhibited high tumoral FAPα expression. Inlet figures show the expression of PDGFRα in cancer cells.
