Liver injury-related parameters of mice. (A) Serum ALT, AST and TBIL were measured (n = 8 per group). (B) Serum TNF-α level was measured by Bio-Plex 200 system with Luminex system after labeling with specific Luminex magnetic beads (n = 8 per group). (C) Hepatic mRNA expression of the liver pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β was evaluated by quantitative real-time PCR analysis. Results were normalized to β-actin expression (n = 4 per group). (D) The expression of apoptosis-related genes including active caspase-3, BAX, and Bcl-2 was evaluated by immunoblot analysis of livers from four mice per group. β-actin was determined as the loading control. Data are expressed as mean ± SD, ***P < 0.001, **P < 0.01, *P < 0.05 vs. control; ### P < 0.001, ## P < 0.01, # P < 0.05 vs. model.
