Representative immunohistochemical sections (5 μm) of subcutaneously injected Matrigel plugs. ECs were identified (light blue arrowheads) by lectin staining, which gave a brown reaction product, as described in Methods. Both c(RGDf[NMe]V) and RGDechiHCit treatment reduced the number of invading cells from the edge (black arrows) to the core of implanted Matrigel plug.
