The number of DCX–(green) and βIII-tubulin (βIII) (red)-positive fibers is smaller than in the column and post-commissural fornix, and staining appears primarily in the boundaries of the corpus callosum, i.e., near the callosal sulcus (A–C) superiorly and in the transition between the corpus callosum, the fornix and the septum pellucidum (E–G) inferiorly.
