Tumor region selection and digital quantification. A genitourinary pathologist manually marked the tumor regions in each section on each slide using blue permanent pen marks (a and b). Using ImageScope software the tumor regions were digitally outlined as shown with the solid green lines. The deconvolution algorithm was applied to the outlined tumor region as shown in c and d. The intra-tumoral B cell density was quantified as the area of CD20 stained (mm²) of AEC-positive cells (c and d).
