Thiostrepton can reverse docetaxel resistance in gastric cancer cells. AGS-DOCR cells were treated with DMSO (vehicle control), 0.02 mg/L docetaxel, 16 mg/L thiostrepton or a combination of 0.02 mg/L docetaxel and 16 mg/L thiostrepton for 72 h. (A) The percentage of viable cells in different treatment group is shown at each time point by MTT assay. (B) Cell lysates were prepared at 0, 24, 48, and 72 h after treatment, and the expression of FOXM1 and GAPDH were analyzed by western blot analysis.
