LK-A regulates pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic molecules and inhibits PI3K/Akt pathway. (A) Increased expression of the pro-apoptotic protein Bax and the ratio of Bax to Bcl-xL occurred in a dose-dependent manner after treatment of CNE1 and CNE2 cells with LK-A for 24 hrs. *p < 0.05 vs. control group (untreated). (B) The phosphorylation levels of Akt and GSK-3 in CNE1 and CNE2 cells were downregulated after treatment with LK-A for 24 hrs.
