- CTLA-4 expression by IHC staining of tissue microarrays consisting of 28 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded melanoma sections.
- IHC staining was performed with the murine anti-CTLA-4 14D3 mAb and detected with AP-conjugated secondary antibody and Fast Red chromogen.
- IRS: immunoreactive score (values from 0 to 9) for CTLA-4 expression was as follows: 0 (negative), 1–4 (low to intermediate), ≥6 (high). IRS score was obtained by multiplying the scores of % of positively stained cells and staining intensity. Scores for % of stained cells were: 0 (negative), 1 (1-29%), 2 (30-59%), 3 (60-100%). Scores for staining intensity were: 0 (negative), 1+ (weak), 2+ (moderate), 3+ (strong).
