Silencing STAT-3 with STAT-3 siRNA down regulated Bcl-2 and cyclin D1 expression. Left jugular vein (n = 8) was treated with either STAT-3 siRNA or scramble siRNA and interposed the left jugular vein into the left common carotid artery as described in the Materials& Methods. The interposed veins were collected and total protein was extracted from above vein graft. The expression of Bcl-2 and cyclin D1 was detected by Western Blot as described in the Material & Methods.
