(C) Cells were transfected with pcDNA-TIMP3 lacking the 3’ UTR and miR-221/222 and TIMP3, MMP2 and MMP9 protein levels were detected by western blot assays. β-actin protein was assayed as a control. In addition, the levels of MMP2 and MMP9 were measured by ELISA assays.
