The y-axis values represent the VEGF/β2-microglobulin and bFGF/β2-microglobulin ratios accordingly. The ratios were calculated by the optical integrated density of each gene divided by that of β2-microglobulin. The optical integrated density was calculated by digital image analysis (Scion image) of acrylamide gel electrophoresis of the RT-PCR products.
